Purpose of use:
Slot car for use on electric model car racing
tracks with track guidance. Only suitable for tracks of the corresponding
scale, in accordance with the international two-wire slot racing standard and
with an analogue operating system . The power supply is constant via a
transformer, and control is via a control unit in the form of a variable speed
controller. Suitable track equipment is required for operation and to achieve
optimum performance. Optionally, the driving behavior of the slot car can be
changed and adapted to the respective area of application by using separately
available tuning accessories. Improper use, for example on tracks not intended
for this purpose or in combination with incompatible accessories, control units
or transformers, can lead to malfunctions, damage or even risk of injury.
Warnings:
ATTENTION! This
product is not a toy! It is a collector's item only. Suitable for adults and
collectors aged 14 and over. The model contains small parts and pointed and
sharp edges due to its scale or functional design. Warning: Please use
carefully to avoid possible injury hazards.
WARNING! This
product is not suitable for children under 36 months. Danger of suffocation due
to small parts that can be swallowed . Warning: Danger of pinching due to
function.
WARNING! This
product contains magnets that can attract each other or a metal object in the
human body and cause serious injury or death. If magnets are swallowed or
inhaled, seek medical attention immediately.
Safety instructions:
1. Not suitable for children under 14
years:
The slot car is not a toy, but a high-quality
collector's model that has been specially designed for adults. It is not
suitable for children under 14 years. Due to the detailed workmanship and the
small, fragile parts it contains, the model can pose a risk of injury if used
improperly. Handling the slot car requires technical knowledge and should only
be done by experienced collectors or hobbyists. Please keep the model out of
the reach of children.
2. Operating range: Only
use the slot car in accordance with its intended use
on suitable model car racing tracks with the recommended operating voltage.
Depending on the existing track equipment, the use of a suitable speed
controller in racing or competition version as well as a more powerful
transformer may be necessary. To achieve maximum performance, additional power
supplies may also be required along the track. Due to the scale model design,
the slot car is not or only partially suitable for special tracks such as tight
banked curves, curved ascents and descents, loops or similar special track
sections. Not suitable for operation on soft or uneven surfaces such as
carpets.
3. Operating voltage:
The slot car is designed to operate with 12 volts
direct current and can be operated within a voltage range of 9 to 15 volts. A
higher voltage can cause damage to the mechanics and the motor. On small tracks
or systems with short straights or for inexperienced users, a lower voltage is
recommended for operating the slot car . A transformer with variable voltage
output allows the vehicle speed to be individually adjusted to the respective
conditions. Make sure that only a compatible transformer is used that meets the
requirements for operating electric model car racing tracks.
4. Electrical hazard:
Before use, check that all power cables and
connections are properly connected and safely laid to avoid hazards. When
connecting the slot car to the power source, make sure that no moisture or
moisture comes into contact with the electrical components to avoid electric
shocks or short circuits. Only use the slot car in dry indoor rooms and on dry
surfaces. Protect from moisture and liquids.
5. Avoiding overheating:
Regularly monitor the functioning of the slot car ,
particularly during continuous operation or under maximum load, to avoid damage
caused by overheating. It is normal for the motor and control unit to heat up
during operation. However, if it heats up strongly or for a short period of
time, operation must be stopped immediately. As the motor and surfaces can heat
up considerably when overloaded, care must be taken when handling the slot car
and adequate contact protection should be observed. Therefore, avoid touching
the motor immediately during or after operation. Allow the motor to cool down
first before investigating the cause, e.g. dirt or stiff axles. Operation may
only be resumed once the problem has been rectified.
6. Avoiding hazards caused by moving parts:
To avoid dangers caused by moving parts, including the risk of pinching
due to its function, the slot car may only be operated when it is fully
assembled. It is normal for the slot car to make driving noises during
operation . However, if the usual driving noises change, operation must be
stopped immediately to check whether parts have come loose or whether there is
a defect. If a defect is found, the slot car must be repaired immediately. It
may not be used again until it is in perfect and safe condition.
7. Avoiding dangers during operation:
The slot car can reach high speeds and develop considerable forces. Before
starting operation, make sure that there are no foreign objects in the guide
slot and that there are no control devices or other objects on the track that
the slot car could collide with. In addition, under no circumstances should you
interfere with the ongoing operation. The slot car must not be held or caught
during operation. During operation, slot cars can be thrown off the track with
great force if operated incorrectly. For this reason, it is extremely dangerous
to watch the moving vehicles at eye or face level. This practice must therefore
be avoided at all costs.
8. Maintenance and care:
To ensure safe use, the slot car should be
checked regularly for damage. Defective parts must be replaced immediately. Do
not operate the slot car if you notice any visible damage to the electronics or
mechanical components.
9. Storage: To ensure a long life and
proper functioning,
store the slot car in a dry, safe place, away from
moisture and extreme temperatures and direct sunlight. Make sure it is kept out
of the reach of children.
10. Environment:
The slot car contains electronic components that do
not belong in household waste. Dispose of the product in accordance with the
applicable legal regulations for electrical and electronic equipment.
Disclaimer:
The manufacturer assumes no liability for damage caused by improper use,
malfunctions due to improper handling or maintenance, or failure to comply with
the above safety instructions.
